IPTV Installation Guides

Pick your device below. Every guide ends the same way: you install a player app, then enter the source details your service provider gave you.

Before you start

  • Check which login type your provider gave you: an M3U link, an Xtream Codes login (server, username, password) or a portal URL.
  • Connect the device to your router with a cable if you can. Wi-Fi works, but a cable is steadier.
  • Install apps only from your device’s official store, or from the app developer’s own site.
  • Keep your login details private. Anyone who has them can use your account.

Android phone, tablet and Android TV

  1. Open the Google Play Store on your device.
  2. Search for an IPTV player app, for example IPTV Smarters Pro, TiviMate or VLC, and tap Install.
  3. Open the app and accept the permissions it asks for.
  4. Choose how to add your source: M3U link, Xtream Codes login or portal. Follow Adding your source details.
  5. Wait for the channel list to load, then pick a channel to test it.

Amazon Fire TV and Fire Stick

  1. On the home screen, open Find, then Search, and look for your chosen player app in the Amazon Appstore. If it is listed, install it and skip to step 6.
  2. If it is not listed, install the Downloader app from the Amazon Appstore.
  3. Go to Settings, then My Fire TV, then Developer Options.
  4. Open Install unknown apps and switch it on for Downloader only.
  5. Open Downloader and enter the app developer’s official download address. Install the file when it finishes downloading.
  6. Open the player app and add your source details. See Adding your source details.

After installing, switch Install unknown apps off again. Only download apps from the developer’s own site.

Samsung and LG smart TVs

  1. Open the app store on your TV: Samsung Apps on Samsung, LG Content Store on LG.
  2. Search for an IPTV player that your TV model supports and install it. Availability depends on the model and year.
  3. Open the app. Many TV players show a device code or MAC address on screen. Write it down if you see one.
  4. Add your source details inside the app, or on the player’s own web page if it asks you to upload a list using your device code.

If no suitable app exists for your TV, a Fire Stick or Android TV box plugged into the HDMI port is an easy alternative.

iPhone, iPad and Apple TV

  1. Open the App Store on your device.
  2. Search for an IPTV player app, for example IPTV Smarters or VLC, and tap Get.
  3. Open the app and choose how to add your source.
  4. Enter your M3U link or Xtream Codes details. See Adding your source details.

Windows and Mac

  1. Download VLC media player from videolan.org, or another player from its developer’s official site.
  2. Install it and open it.
  3. In VLC, choose Media, then Open Network Stream, and paste your M3U link. On Mac, choose File, then Open Network.
  4. Click Play. Open the playlist view to switch between channels.
